Welcome the NEW MP-5 and MP-25 from Mizuno.

If your looking for performance, playability and sheer feel then these irons will be right up your street. The MP-5 are designed to sit inbetween the MP-4 and MP-25.  Mizuno have called these the channel back iron which is not a blade nor a cavity back.

The MP-25 is the first high ball speed club specifically designed for low to mid handicap golfers. Mizuno have engineered a micro slot pocket cavity into the 3-6 iron that generates fast ball speeds without losing any feel and touch.

Interested in a fitted set of these then book yourself up for a full custom fit here at American Golf Canterbury

A very well done to the new US PGA Champion Jason Day, the talented 27 year old won his first Major title with a record of 20 under par at Whistling Straits.

Day, shot a closing 67 to record the lowest score at one of golf”s four majors.

The world number 5 saw off a chasing pack that included the Masters and US Open Champion Jordan Spieth, who finished three shots back in second place but that was enough to ensure the 22 year old American over take Rory Mcilroy as world number one.

South African Branden Grace was third on 15 under and Justin Rose finised fourth on 14 under after his double bogey on the 13th destroyed his hopes of challenging Jason Day for the title.

The 97th USPGA Championship starts this week at Whistling Straits Golf Club.

After completing two practice round on the majors golf course the question on the staff and customers lips alike in the shop is  So who will win the USPGA this week???

Will Jordan Spieth claim his third Major title this year? Will Zach Johnson claim another Major after his win at The Open? Will the current World No1 & 2014′s USPGA Champion Rory McIlroy stun the golfing world by sealing another Major win on his return from an ankle injury or will Dustin Johnson come good at last and maintain his form throughout all four rounds??

A Very well done to the NEW Open Champion Zach Johnson.

American Zach Johnson claims his 2nd major title in a three man play-off on a thrilling final day on the 144th Open Championship.

The 2007 Masters Champion finished one shot clear of Louis Oostuizen and three ahead from Marc Leishman over the four extra holes to take the £1.15m prize fund and the Claret Jug.

Johnson only had 15 putts over the first 12 holes on the fianl day which showed his skill on the Links greens.

World number 2 Jordan Spieth came tied 4th along side Aussie Jason Day, Spieth made a bogey at the tough 17th to leave him one shot adrift, having to birdie the last to found the valley of sin with his second shot which gave him a lengthy up and down puut for birdie which came within inches of holeing.

Overall the standard of golf that was played over the four days was simply brillant!

Well done to all!
